ATA Small Unit Tactics
Sometimes one warrior just isn’t enough to get the job done. Time and time again, we have seen the need for armed citizens to band together for common defense. Remember the images of the Korean shopkeepers on the rooftops during the LA riots? What about the groups of citizens in post-Katrina New Orleans holding “You loot, we shoot” signs? Now that you’ve learned how to fight on your own, it’s time to take your training to the next level and learn to fight as part of a team.
This is the heart of the Appalachian Tactical Academy curriculum, and the class we have the most passion for. Learn how to operate as part of a team with other armed citizens all working toward the same goal. You will run live-fire ranges that take you from fighting alongside a buddy, to fighting as part of four-man team, to then fighting in a squad. This training will be conducted in the woods, but the lessons in tactics and teamwork apply anywhere. Topics of instruction will include:
- The Cycle of the Infantryman/Fore & Aft positions
- The Supported/Supporting Relationship
- Techniques of fire and movement
- Break contact battle drills
- Squad and team attacks
Duration: 2 days/18+ hours
Prerequisite: ATA Rifle I and ATA Rifle II
Price: $300
